Sarah Sears BFA

Born and raised in Nova Scotia, Sarah Sears graduated from NSCAD University in 2013, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, majoring in Jewellery Design/ Metalsmithing.

Upon graduating from NSCAD, Sarah spent time in New York interning under Anna Sheffield at Bing Bang NYC. Since then her eponymous label ‘Sarah Sears Jewelry’ was born. She creates new collections out of her Halifax studio on an annual basis and also produces one of a kind/ custom work. Travel has always played an important role in her process for designing her new collections, most recently a winter spent in India.

21. Stacked Rings Session 1

This one-day workshop is for individuals or groups of friends. Students will learn to create their very own set of personalized stacking rings. At least 3 rings will be completed: 1 plain band with light hammered texture, 1 bezel set stone (choice of small stones), and 1 shape (hearts, cats, stars, etc.) If time permits, students can make a few extra. A 1/2 hour break is provided, please bring your lunch.

22. Jewellery II

NEW! This class is for those who took a previous jewellery course and those with a little experience to pursue jewellery making in more depth. The goal will be to design and make more advanced rings and delicate jewellery by covering the basic metalsmithing techniques. We will be working in mostly sterling silver but will be introducing copper and brass also.
