About Courses & Workshops at

the Nova Scotia Centre for Craft and Design

Located in the Halifax Seaport, the Nova Scotia Centre for Craft and Design has five well-equipped studios in pottery, jewellery and metal, woodworking, textiles, and multi-purpose where courses are offered to the public in fall, winter and spring semesters. We have courses available for ALL skill levels.

Teach a Spring Course at NSCCD

We are now working on the Spring 2012 Course Brochure. Click here to see/print the call for teaching here with us at the Centre for Craft and Design. Proposals will be due on January 24th. We'd love to hear some new ideas for classes to be offered here, and of course we love to have our regular classes too! If anyone has any questions or would like to talk to me about new ideas please feel free to call me or email me!
Also if you are not able to teach with us this coming term but know someone who might please pass this message along...we love to have new instructors, new ideas and anyone with a passion for the CRAFTS!

NSCCD - Nova Scotia Centre for Craft and Design - Courses

Ceramics/Metal/Glass Studios
available for rent  on

a first-come first-served basis on


Open Studio Rentals are an opportunity for people who have experience and are capable of working independently. For first time users, references of technical ability and training in metal, glass, and pottery must be submitted prior to rental period. There will be a technician available for questions.



Saturdays from 10 am to 5 pm
  Cost:

  for students enrolled in a class at NSCCD
  $21.74 + $3.26 (HST) = $25
  not registered in a class
  $26.09 + $3.91 (HST) = $30

We reserve the right to restrict access to the studios if
the staff assess a safety or security risk
