Course Overview

During this workshop, we will use traditional bookbinding techniques to make miniature books. By definition, miniature books are less than 3" in any dimension. For this workshop, printed texts will be provided so the finished books will contain short texts, short stories, poems, etc. Students can choose to make blank books if they prefer. We will make three different books, in three sizes, using three different binding techniques. In addition to simply being small functional books, miniature bookbinding techniques are suitable for making books to use as dollhouse props, tree ornaments or pendants.
